Dear Community Members,

We believe that you all are doing well during this difficult time of ongoing pandemic. As you know, we had to cancel the scheduled New Year and AGM programs in April 2020. We have also booked the hall for the forthcoming AGM and Nepalese New Year 2078 but looking at the current scenario, it appears that we won’t be able to organize an in-person event again for this year in April!  However, it is imperative that we have to convene our AGM this year. Therefore, we have decided to organize a virtual AGM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We would like to invite you all to participate and make the event successful. We will provide the Zoom link and further details of the meeting later.

Membership Renewal:

Due to the situation last year, no membership renewals were requested in 2020. However, membership must be renewed in order to participate in AGM, as per the bylaws. Therefore, we would like to request you to renew your membership for 2021 at a (one-time special) discounted rate of $20 per family and $10 for a single person and international student. The membership fees can be paid by email transfer to nepalese@nepalese.ca or through any of NCAO board members. Please let us know if you have any difficulty or question for renewing your membership. PLEASE also LET NEW FAMILIES and STUDENTS THAT ARE IN YOUR CONTACT TO JOIN NCAO, if they have not been a member before.

Please renew your membership by April 8, 2021. Link for virtual AGM will be sent to all the active members (renewed) one week prior to the AGM.

We would also like to inform you that election for new board members will be a part of the AGM like every year. As all of the members in the current board have served over two years, it is also a time to elect new board members. Therefore, please come to join and serve the community as a member of the board.
