MOHAN BASNET
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
He currently manages general administrative tasks for NCAO. He works as a civil engineer by profession and has been involved in various site plan developments, including industrial, commercial, and residential projects. He is regarded as an excellent leader in Nepalese community activities and has led many community events in the past. He is also an Ex-Officio Board member of NHCO.
BIRENDRA SAPKOTA
Publication Coordinator
He currently manages NCAO’s community welfare and publications including Ottawa Chautari. Professionally, he works as a Geoscientist, and has worked as mine waste management scientist and environmental scientist. His roles include managing the publication of Ottawa Chautari during Dashain and New Year programs, encouraging community members and young students to contribute writings for Ottawa Chautari, and visiting the Nepali School to motivate children to participate in creative writing for Ottawa Chautari.
Sadiksha Karki
Communication Coordinator
She oversees general communications for NCAO. She has previous experience serving as a board member and enjoys volunteering during her leisure. Professionally, she is a civil engineering technician.
Bishnu Chhetri
Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator
He currently oversees Public Relations and Social Media for the NCAO. With a strong background in media, he has been actively involved in various community support and social initiatives. He has also contributed as a support worker in the developmental disability sector. Professionally, Mr. Chhetri is engaged in the real estate industry, bringing a diverse range of skills and experiences to his work.
ARCHAN DABADI
Donor Relations and Partnership
Mr. Archan Dabadi works as a geoscientist. He manages donor relations and explores strategic partnership opportunities for NCAO activities. His responsibilities include identifying opportunities with provincial, federal, and local government organizations to secure funding.
JYOTI RAJ SHARMA
Information Technology/Publication/Nepali School Coordinator
He currently manages the information technology operations for NCAO. In the past, he has volunteered in many Nepalese community activities, including sports. His responsibilities also include designing and preparing Ottawa Chautari for publication in coordination with the Publication Department.
Isha Bhattrai
Events Coordinator
Isha Bhattarai is a dedicated and passionate Event Coordinator for the NCAO Working Committee. She is a hardworking, positive, and kind-hearted individual who brings a spirit of enthusiasm and care to everything she does. Her supportive approach and deep commitment to the Nepali community are evident in her work. She plays a key role in organizing meaningful events that promote culture and unity. Always eager to help and make a difference, she continues to be an inspiring force within the NCAO team.
Lokendra Kunwar
Finance Department Coordinator
He currently manages NCAO’s financial aspects, including funds management and budgeting. Professionally, he is a hospitality leader and co-founder of Red Fire Ottawa.
He is also an MBA candidate at Carleton University.
Kedar Timalsina
Events Coordinator/Culture
He currently plays a key role in organizing meaningful events that promote culture and unity. He is an ardent madal player who brings an inherent passion for Nepalese culture. At community events, he consistently brings energy, joy, and a warm smile to those around him.
PRATAP BASNET
Sports Coordinator
He currently manages NCAO’s sports activities. His responsibilities include coordinating the kids' soccer program every Wednesday and adult soccer every Saturday, as well as organizing adult indoor volleyball during the winter. He is also responsible for managing the Saugat Memorial Cup event
Monika Bhandari
Cultural Coordinator
She is currently in charge of NCAO's cultural events. She has participated actively in a number of Nepali cultural performances and successfully directed a number of cultural events. She holds academic credentials in computer networking and works professionally as a manager at The Puck Stop. She believes that her commitment will support the community's efforts to conserve and advance Nepali cultural heritage.
