Mr. Chhetri is a dedicated leader and real estate professional specializing in residential and commercial properties. As President of NCAO, he provides overall leadership and represents the organization at a public level. With a background as a lecturer and experience in the media sector, he brings strong communication and strategic skills. He has been actively involved in community support and social initiatives, successfully leading and organizing numerous community events.

VICE PRESIDENT
Isha Bhattarai is a Vice President for the NCAO Working Committee. She is a hardworking, positive, and kind-hearted individual who brings a spirit of enthusiasm and care to everything she does. Her supportive approach and deep commitment to the Nepali community are evident in her work. She plays a key role in organizing meaningful events that promote culture and unity. Always eager to help and make a difference, she continues to be an inspiring force within the NCAO team.
SuRAJ Khanal
SECRETARY
Suraj Khanal is an active community member with professional experience in hospitality and financial services, specializing in the insurance industry. As Secretary, he is committed to community service, effective communication, and supporting the growth and unity of the Nepalese community in Ottawa
BhiM KUNWAR
TREASURER
Mr. Bhim Kunwar will serve as Treasurer on the Board of NCAO. He brings extensive professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, auditing, and taxation across diverse industries in Nepal and Canada. Mr. Kunwar holds a degree in Management and has also pursued Chartered Accountancy through ICAN.
Currently, he is pursuing the CPA designation through CPA Canada while working as a Senior Accountant in the real estate industryntly manages NCAO’s financial aspects, including funds management and
budgeting.
Sadiksha Karki
Event Coordinator:
She oversees general communications for NCAO. She has previous experience serving as a board member and enjoys volunteering during her leisure. Professionally, she is a civil engineering technician.
KIran Devkota
Information Technology/Nepali School Coordinator
He currently manages the information technology operations for NCAO. In the past, he has volunteered in many Nepalese community activities, including sports. His responsibilities also include designing and preparing Ottawa Chautari for publication in coordination with the Publication Department. He is Network Engineer by profession with experience in networking infrastructure development and customer service within ISP and telecom environments.
Deepak Thapa
Public Relations & Media:
He currently oversees Public Relations and Social Media for the NCAO. With a strong background in media, he has been actively involved in various community support and social initiatives.
Kedar Timalsina
Proposal Writing & Ottawa Chautari Publication
Kedar Timalsina is a community-oriented individual with a strong background in education, particularly in ESL teaching across Kathmandu, China, and Thailand. He also served as the General Secretary of NRNA Thailand, further strengthening his engagement with community leadership and international collaboration.
Professionally, Kedar brings over seven years of experience in inventory management and currently serves as an Inventory Management Supervisor. He is recognized for his attention to detail, leadership capabilities, and commitment to maintaining efficient and well-structured operations.
Kedar has also been actively involved in community service. He previously served as an Event Coordinator with NCAO and currently contributes as the Publication Editor for the 2026/27 term, supporting communication and outreach initiatives.
Beyond his professional and community engagements, Kedar has a deep interest in spirituality and holistic well-being. His regular practices include meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong. He also has a passion for music, particularly playing the traditional Nepali drum, the Madal, reflecting his connection to culture, rhythm, and mindful expression. In his personal time, he enjoys biking, hiking, and exploring new adventures, embracing opportunities to connect with nature.
Kedar brings together professional discipline, community leadership, and a mindful approach to life, contributing thoughtfully and purposefully in every space he engages.
Budhi Acharya
Sports Coordinator
He currently oversees all sports activities at NCAO, playing a key role in promoting community engagement through sports and recreation. His responsibilities include organizing the Table Tennis Tournament, coordinating the children’s soccer program across three different locations, managing adult soccer, and arranging indoor volleyball programs during the winter season. He also leads the organization and management of the prestigious Saugat Memorial Cup event. Professionally, he is an economist actively involved in research work, bringing both analytical expertise and leadership to the organization.
Monika Bhandari
Cultural Coordinator
She currently serves as the Cultural Coordinator at NCAO, where she plans and manages cultural events and performances such as Dashain, Teej, and Nepali New Year celebrations. She works closely with the Nepali School, artists, and community participants to organize meaningful cultural programs and has actively participated in and directed numerous Nepali cultural events.
With academic credentials in Computer Networking and professional experience as a manager at The Puck Stop, she brings leadership and dedication to her role. She is passionate about preserving and promoting Nepali cultural heritage within the community
